Year 7

Design and Technology is a compulsory subject at Key Stage 3. The focus is on the development of ideas, planning, producing products and evaluating them.

Year 8

Design and Technology is a compulsory subject at Key Stage 3. The focus is on the development of ideas, planning, producing products and evaluating them.

Year 9

Design and Technology is a compulsory subject at Key Stage 3. The focus is on the development of ideas, planning, producing products and evaluating them.

Graphics

This area is exclusively for those students who are studying, or considering opting for GCSE Graphics.

Engineering

This area is exclusively for those students who are studying, or considering opting for GCSE Engineering.

Textiles

This area is exclusively for those students who are studying, or considering opting for GCSE Textiles.


International Baccalaureate

This course is aimed at those students who would like to further their studies in Technology, and who have a genuine interest in designing and making.

Students should have a strong interest in designing, modelling, making and evaluating products or systems, and the processes and products used.

This course is designed to be either a complimentary subject to Mathematics, Physics, Art and Design or a contrasting subject with English, History, Geography and Modern Languages.
