For IB students, this will constitute the language requirement of the Diploma, and this course is also available to A level students to complement their studies. They will be awarded an IB certificate on successful completion of the course.

The iGCSE course in Spanish is an accelerated course over two years for students who have not studied the language before. The course allows the students to develop skills in listening, reading, speaking and writing and is examined at the end of the two years, allowing the students time to develop their language skills and confidence. the students develop a strong understanding of the grammatical structures of the language which provides a firm foundation for Sixth Form study.

The IB Standard Level ab initio Spanish course is available to IB and A level students. As part of the IB Diploma programme, it can fulfil the language requirement or be taken as a second foreign language. A level students will follow the same course and take the same examination to receive an IB certificate in ab initio Spanish.
