Year 7 Music

Welcome to music here at CCHS!  During your music lessons you will perform, compose and listen to a wide variety of music from different cultures and times.  You will need to have your musical instrument with you for each lesson (unless you are a pianist!) as you will be using it in all your tasks.  Remember to check out the extra curricular section of the VLE to see what ensmbles are on offer and what you can get involved in!

1) to encourage students to extend the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to communicate through music and take part in music making

2) to encourage students to engage in and extend their appreciation of the diverse and dynamic heritage of music

3) to develop the students' particular strengths and interests

4) to provide a course of study which broaches experience, develops imagination, fosters creativity and promotes personal and social development.
